The latest funding round increased the private equity invested in the company to over half a million euros in total.

3AWater has acquired 1.3 M€ of funding in total, including private equity, public support, and other funding instruments. Both earlier investors and new business angels as well as an early-stage venture fund participated in the funding round. The funding provides 3AWater more resources to early sales operations of the company focused on Nordics and Central Europe.

“We are happy to announce this successful funding round especially now during the uncertain economic times. We thank the trust of the new and existing investors for the support. The added resources will allow our company to develop to the next level and put us into good position in raising a seed funding round later this year”, states Tuomo Nissinen, the CEO of 3AWater.

One of the investors Lauri Hartikainen joins the board of 3AWater. His expertise in channel and sales development, combined with his strategic approach to international go-to-market building, makes him a valuable addition to 3AWater’s board.

”I was drawn to 3AWater because of their unique fusion of nanotechnology innovation and clean water, solving critical environmental issues in sustainable water management. I am excited about the future potential and vision for 3AWater and truly happy about the opportunity to work with their exceptional, committed team”, says Lauri about his investment.

Lauri is working at ARKANCE as the Vice President of Go-To-Market in the Portfolio business unit, leading the global channel building of ARKANCE’s software IP. His expertise is expected to be instrumental in driving commercial growth and expanding the market presence of 3AWater. His entrepreneurial journey, notably his co-founding and development of Pointscene, acquired by the ARKANCE group, underscores his ability to identify and nurture successful business ventures.

“I am confident that Lauri’s commercial insights will be crucial in advancing 3AWater’s objectives and achieving success in the international market”, comments CEO Tuomo Nissinen.

The other nominated board members are professor of material physics at University of Eastern Finland Vesa-Pekka Lehto, the CTO of 3AWater Joakim Riikonen, and chemical sales and startup expert Bernhard Münzing.
